The Newman Knights Hockey Club has an active social committee and regularly organises events to assist with fundraising for the Club.
Events in 2011 included:
- 80s theme and mouse racing night
- Quiz Night
- Club Windup and Awards Evening
- Family fun day
- Mongolian restaurant
