Notice of Annual General Meeting
To all members and friends of Newman Knights Hockey Club
Please be advised that the Annual General Meeting of the Newman Knights Hockey Club will be held at 5.00pm on Sunday 22 November 2015 at the Clubrooms in Tuscany Way, Churchlands. If you are unable to attend in person, please complete the Appointment of a Proxy Form, at the bottom of this notice.
The AGM is a great time for everyone to get together, review our achievements the year and talk about some of our goals for 2016. All Club Members are welcome to attend and the agenda and nomination form are attached. The bar will be open and there will even be a sausage sizzle.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible. This is your club, so please come along and have your say in how the club is run.

Congratulations to all our 2015 Senior award winners who were announced at the Annual Trophy Night held on Friday 18th September. The Junior awards were presented at their end of season wind up on Sunday 20th September. Full details can be found on our Award Winners and Life Members page.
Sunday 20th September was was the official end of the hockey season and the last day of windup duties for Rob Reid and Hilary Fitzgerald, both of whom are now handing their roles over to others. Each have done a lot for the Newman Knights over the past few years and no doubt both will continue to be involved in the growth and development of our Club for years to come. A very heartfelt well done and thanks to both of them.
A full round up of the year will be given at the Annual General Meeting which will be held on Sunday 22nd November 2015 at 5.00pm
Another date for your diary is Friday 19th June. As a variation to our successful wine drive our Ladies are organising a “Beer and Skittles” night courtesy of Bootleg Brewery. There will be beer tasting of a range of Bootleg brews and the opportunity to order cartons at a special price. Every carton sold will raise money for the club. There will also be some games in keeping with the theme, and for $5 entry we hope that this event will appeal to all age groups.
If you don’t own a blue jacket, beanie or a club umbrella now’s the time to order one. There are a few left in stock but new orders will be placed soon, so please contact Dee Collier on 0413604616 or email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Alternatively come down to the Club next Thursday 4th June to check out your size and place your order.
Following the success of the Junior season launch, we will be holding another Club Night on Thursday 2nd July. All our J11/12 players and their parents are welcome to come along after training, mingle with the Senior turf teams after their training sessions, play a game of table tennis or just catch up for a chat. The bar will be open and some tasty dinner will be on sale, cooked by our Junior parents.
